Curiosity in Communities Network

about the network

The Curiosity In Communities Network is open to everyone interested in the role of STEM to support Community Learning and Development (CLD) practice outcomes with and by young people. This includes but is by no means limited to youth workers, CLD practitioners, researchers, STEM students and science educators.

Join the network by signing up for our mailing list here and join our Community Lab forum here, a platform where members can connect and share questions or opportunities with each other. We also share a monthly member spotlight on Community Lab to highlight the fantastic projects happening across this space.

We host online community of practice events to connect with others interested and involved in this type of work, share learning and explore projects embedding STEM in youth work. This includes us sharing the learning from the partnerships involved in our Curiosity in Action action research project. Do you want to take part? Reserve a spot at our next event here.

Additionally, we run free online training sessions to explore how we can use STEM in a youth work-based approach. These session are open to all, members and non-members, youth workers, CLD practitioners (including early years) and researchers (including PhD students). Are you interested? Sign up here.

This feels like the start of something really special. To have STEM professionals and youth workers working together to create meaningful opportunities for young people is amazing!

I appreciate the conversational inclusive approach - valuing the difference in practice spaces and connecting to experiences which come from different perspectives of practice
